Wow, this is very "shortwave radio' looking. Very cool!

They did a good job. Thanks for posting! Thanks! I take no credit for the design - was a collaborative effort between our drummer and guitarist...
cool thread @DWBass
This is a KILLER idea. Do you remember the details of getting that done?

This is our Sinister Fool...
So - I noted above that I used the Chauvet EZ Gobo. I think I paid about $200 for that unit. I ordered a custom cut metal gobo filter from thegobo.com. Another $50.
For about $250, I had an alternative to a backdrop/vinyl banner at the back of the stage that did a really good job of working almost anywhere. Walls, roof, inside, outside. Easy to setup, battery power, point and set. Good all night!
Here's an example from one of the first gigs we used it at - main page at The Derringers

Is this what you were looking for?Sweet @DirtDog, Thanks for the info! Definitely going to look into this. Looks really good!
Bummer though... Looks like TheGobo.com is down (or no longer around).

It only got beat up recently - at a gig. And I grazed a deer going to practice. 2013, 125K + on it.This looks almost as beat up as my wife's 2010 w/255k on it...
Makes a lot of drives to the city.
In High School there were days I probably spent more time designing band logos for band name ideas I had--most of which would never have been used--than doing actual schoolwork.
I had some cool ideas and some not so good ideas.
But I don't think I have any of them hanging around anymore.
If things worked out differently I may just have designed/co-designed a band logo many of you have seen.
