Bands with Two bassist on stage.

Ancient history...............Jack Casidy joined up on stage with Noel Redding and both played bass with Jimi Hendrix. The live recording sounds terrible with 2 basses! BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!

Sonic Youth........ Recently on stage they have Kim Gordon and another guy (MIke O`Rouke? Don´t exactly remember his name now)

You are referring to Mark Ibold from Pavement ;)

Let's not forget the great Cop Shoot Cop (now defunct).
Flying Luttenbachers had a line up which featured 2 bass players.
Headbutt

And I played in a band with two bassists (me and another bassplayer); it was fun.

Somehow I just don't believe that - they don't seem real, just somebody's fantasy..?

No they are real. They did 3 albums and broke up. One of the bass players was from another popular band ZONE. There are alot of female musicians in Japan. Check out SCANDAL....they rock!

Victor wins with 4 bassists in his current touring line up. In all fairness, one or two of them could be playing guitar, cello, upright, trombone, trumpet, or keys on any given song. How these guys divide up sonic space is beyond me but you can every single note of every player. Must be $100,000 in Foderas on stage which are rounded out nicely with a bunch of Warwicks.

Steve Bailey
Dave Welsch

Dave's on trumpet for this one. My Life. The lyrics crack me up.

I saw Stanley Clarke live a few years back and he also had another bass player with him. Of course Stanley's playing is a bit brighter and guitar-like.

Also, while not two bass players together on stage at one time but I've always been confused by the Mermen. It seems sometime, there is a woman playing and other times there is a guy playing
