Bar Rigs---> Let's see em!!

Here is a shot from Saturday night of my current rig. TCE RH450 and a pair of BC212 cabs.

I am wanting to piece together a rig for bar gigs and private functions. Guessing 200 to 600 people, sized places.

How is 200-600 people a "bar gig"? That's a huge wedding, not a bar sized crowd. This is my everything rig. It's more than large enough on its own to handle the average bar/rock club, and anything bigger will have adequate PA support for the DI.

Markbass 121 NYC cab with either a Quilter BB800 head or Aguilar TH500. Weekly Wednesday night crowds rarely break 30 people, but I've also used the TH500 with an old Fender 1x15 or (even older) Ampeg 2x15 for outdoor biker rallies and no PA support. (the rallies are held in the alley behind the same bar where I play Wednesdays).

I've read that the Pro Bass 500 sounds really good when you overdrive the preamp as well? Great looking rig!

Thanks! It has a very warm and smooth overdrive to it and can get real "fuzzy" if you want to...I try to keep just on the edge of overdrive and use the sansamp to add overdrive or grit...

Very cool! I always wanted to try out a Pro 500 but never really had the opportunity. I've only heard good stuff about them though.

Here is my SWR rig. The SWR SM-500 and Triad for small to medium size gigs and the Goliath Senior for those much bigger shows.

Most of the time the Triad is all I really need though but I can never part with the 6x10 because I love it too much.

I'm just gonna say this, then go. 4x12's is not a bar rig. No one seems to care about posting REAL bar rigs. This thread has become an excuse to post any photo of any rig you have that you like.

All I'm going to say is I have posted no pictures on this thread and I play 4 12's at bars a lot. 4 12's and 4 10's. Matter of fact I just used 2 TCE K212's this past Friday and I've seen many bands use 810's at a bar. Just because 1 person doesn't, does not mean no one else does. Everyone is different and 1 persons real bar rig may be anothers not enough or too much.

No one has taken a shot of the current (Quilter+Markbass) rig since I got the Quilter. I'd take one myself, but that cabinet doesn't get set up in the house - it stays in garage storage area, staged for gigging.

Once I get a good pic of it, I'll come back and post. Sorry - I have failed.

Exactly. The title does not say "small rig" it says "bar rig"... I have used my 6x10 at plenty of shows at bars.
