Used one for years (decades actually), first electric tuner I owned I bought less than 10 years ago.
Telling the crowd every time you change a patch and why 100 telling the crowd about every piece of new gear you purchased since the last time you played there and what it cost 200, as the drummer clicks a song you say" wait I need to call up a different sound" over the PA and then explain to the crowed why.300 (or the bass player quits)
people I played with a guitarist who did and still does these things. Great player ,so good in fact I played in a band with him 3 different times over 11 years and left for the same reason each time he drives me nuts!

Is there a fine for letting a lady pick up on you like... during a break $75, after last set $500 (no roadie) unless she´s got nice friends, or getting her # a quarter?

Well most of those aren't THAT bad, but the asking for an E to tune and slapping on your DB, those are straight up sins.
The "proper" way to tune is to get an A from somebody and then tune by harmonics for all the other strings. I guess is is more of a DB thing because that's how it's been done in orchestras for hundreds of years, but it definitely applies to BG because it works better in general that way.
As far as the slapping the DB thing goes I don't think the intended fine is for rockabilly slap, but for the kid who walks up to a DB and tries to churn out a Flea line with his thumb like he would on a BG...
All the other fines you mentioned are just typical bass cliches, except the one about written riffs, thats a slam on jazz players who can't lay down a walking line off the top of their head.
I always take more than 1 bass to a gig. On the basis that It is easier to swap to another bass than to restring etc mid set. Saved me twice in the last year. Also It doesn't help I usually run with 2 basses in a set anyway (5'er / fretless + backup 5'er)
Playing slap bass for a bear, $1000 PLUS EMT/medical costs, if you live that is. If you survive, legal fees for charges of animal cruelty. 
Nope, those ASCAP leg-breakers are STILL active to this day, last year or so, they strong-armed a couple little establishments here in Atlanta, seems like whenever they hear "rhythm changes" (1,6,2,5) they move in for the kill.

No kidding, for real. We really got fined by ASCAP. It could happen anywhere anytime, even today. Any of us could get fined for playing covers without permission.
how do they know who you are to fine you? Just curious. Do they ID you?
Won't matter, I only hire musician's who's second profession is being a Ninja.
