on the opposite side, being a girl who plays bass makes boys want to talk to me all the time.

Yes, they're looking for a bass player.

It worked for Sid Vicious.
This is not my experience at all. My fiancee is an artist and the most pinky-down low maintenance girl Ive ever seen!
I think they're looking for something else![]()
Being in the pocket gives you that mystic persona. That will typically attract the more laid back, intellectual women. I have found those are more fun. They know whats up, typically aren't clingy and should a relationship ensue... their more stable. When I was out gigging with a band, the guitard gets all the flashy women, but he was always dealing with drama. Sure, I went plenty of shows without love, but when it came around.... quality over quanity![]()

Well, female bassists tend to have this aura of awesome around them. At least that's the case for all those that I personally know.
I don't know. I have seen some very bad female bassists or very very basic female bassists. Some guitarists who dislike bassists with an ounce of talent, or bassists who are over their heads (they exist, admit it), get their girlfriends to play bass.
