Wow, some of you guys are really picky. I'm not. I have 23 basses of all different configurations. 30", 34" and 35" scale, 4,5,6 string (including both modern style 6 string and Bass VI type 6 string), 21 to 24 frets, maple, ebony, rosewood, pau ferro fingerboards, fretted, lined fretless, unlined fretless, transparent finishes and solid colors, pickguards and no pickguards, bolt on, set neck and neck through, easily accessible truss rods and truss rods you have to take the neck off to adjust, standard double cutaway bodies, single cutaway bodies, standard bent bridges and heavy duty bridges, string through and quick release, active and passive, every pickup configuration imaginable.
The one thing that will prevent me from buying a bass is weight. My back can't take a bass over 9 lbs. Other than that I'm not picky at all. If it sounds good and plays good I'll buy it. I'm not picky about neck shape (I prefer Jazz width for 4 string, but I'll play anything), body shape, etc.
Slut.
