Much as I love bass
Would it have any meaning
Without some treble?

My subwoofer rocks!
Flat right down to 20 Hz
Neighbors think me odd

Tonight is practice
Or do we cancel and watch

i've heard the 5,7,5 form has been disputed. like it's an americanized haiku or something and the real thing is pretty different. but i'm no expert.

haikus are easy
but sometimes they don't make sense

A traditional haiku is grouped in the five-seven-five pattern, but they are patterns of... I forget the word, but they were like "letters", specific sound groups that were close enough to syllables that they are practically the same. Only absolute Haiku "tone purists" argue it.

Also, they used to play a haiku game like a "call and response". Basically there was a call of the 5-7-5 pattern, then a response of... I think 9-9? (two lines of 9 syl.)

I was bored enough
to learn too much haiku.
