He was prolific and composed a lot of music during his life time. But, once he died, he started decomposing.
One of the bigger radio stations in Philadelphia has always been the “oldies” station. They started out playing songs from the 50s. I remember that it was noticeable when they started playing songs from the 60s. But now I drive around and see their billboards and they’ve been advertising songs from the 90s for a while now.
I guess it won’t be long before they start playing the likes of Lizzo and Harry Styles.

To me, oldies is a genre. It's 50s and 60s. I get that 80s music is old, but it's not oldies. Retro I can live with.
The song Jessie's Girl is now 41 years old. Now, it is an oldie. Yeah, that is a hard one take in.
Considering some of the top artists of 1940 were Bing Crosby, Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller. I had sit for a minute with that perspective.
