I have never liked Oasis. After watching that Charles Berthoud video (he's one of the really good ones), I brought up Oasis' official video for Wonderwall. 427+ MILLION views! And I only made it about half way through before having to shut it down. Not for me.

I'm 10 years old. My piano teacher (the soloist for the St. Louis Philharmonic) hands me sheet music like that and says "transcribe this down a minor third."
And I'm like "what?!?!?" "Mrs Lange, I'm 10 years old. It's Saturday morning. I should be out playing with my friends."
Thought it, but didn't say it. Just sat down with a blank score and pencil and started working. She was one tough teacher. She could tell within 15 minutes how much I'd practiced that week. And I was just 10! Thanks, mom.
My piano lessons were two hours every Saturday morning. One hour of theory on paper. One hour at the keyboard. Brutal.
