Bass Northwest

I've never been to their store in person (it's only a 2500 mile drive!) but I've talked to them over the phone a few times and they were very helpful and insightful to some peon who called them out of the blue. I bought my Warwick Thumb from them and they were very helpful. It's rare to find a place that treats their customers so wonderfully!

Definitely a great place! I ordered a couple of cabinets from them, and they were great to deal with. One was a used Eden 2x12, and the other was a new Bergantino AE 212, which they had shipped to them so they could test it before shipping it to me. Great service all around. I talked with three people there (Evan, Eddie, Chad) during all of this and they were all very professional. I'm working through them now to try and get a custom Warwick (just trying to raise enough scratch for it!), and Evan has been very patient with me tweaking the specs and getting re-quotes (I've had other shops get really mad for doing that).

these guys at bass nw crack me up. every used bass they get is "excellent playing and sounding"; i find that really hard to believe!

i have only bought one used bass from them over the phone, the online description definitely left out some details. having talked to them on the phone and asking questions i was ok with buying the bass. if i would have just ordered on line without talking to them on the phone i probably would have been a kittle p!$$ed.
but hey they seem like nice guys unlike one of their competitions employee who "bugs" me, if ya know what i'm sayin'!
on that note, i hope to make a visit next month!

BassCentral in Orlando is where it's at!! The greatest bass store i have ever been too. Beaver is great to work with nobody has the selection of basses they carry. And from what I heard not many good reviews about BassNW but everyone is entitled to shop where they please.

Had nothing but awesome experiences there. One time, I got there 30 mins before the place close to snag a VT Bass Deluxe. Next thing I know, I was there for 2 hours PAST closing time chatting with the owner, Evan. Bass gear, old stories of him with Seattle's biggest rock bands, studio secrets, you name it. Wonderful guy & these days, I call him a friend.

I have mostly dealt with Evan and he is a class act!! any question I have he gets right back to me, they have help sell my old gear and put it towards newer things I want!

I have stopped in a couple times and mostly dealt with them through the web...my favorite place!!

if you stay at the Double Tree Arctic Club, you are in walking distance of Bass NW, Pikes Brewery and not far from Elysian Brewery...last time I was at Elysian talked with a Berklee Percussion guy over may beers...good times!!
it is my favorite stop off for the end of my vacations! They try to keep the best equipment in stock!

If you go to their website now, they apparently have a sale until May 7. They haven't updated prices on their website this week, which normally happens every Wednesday. I've no idea what the sale items are... I think you either have to email or walk-in to learn about the specifics of their sale.

Yeah if you want an 'excellent playing and sounding' bass, this is the place to go. Apparently that's all they buy :)

I'd like to see something pop up there one day that says 'heres a real dog that plays like crap but we dug it out of the dumpster so here it is'. :)

Not going to lie. I love the guys there. I go in there every couple of months and see what they have and talk to the guys. I even bought my Warwick Corvette there. When I went to have a little surgery done (little set-up, electronic problems i couldn't diagnose) they charged me $20 for a little solder that did nothing. Buy your gear there, sell your gear there. Don't expect much from there "repair shop"

I went there last year to get some parts, strings, a strap etc. Evan was very friendly and knowledgeable about the market situation in Europe as well. I would expect no problems at all dealing with Bass NW. And, I wear the T-shirt too.

I've bought a lot of gear there (including my 1st bass and combo) and sold much on consignment. I've never had a bad experience there. Along with Bassspecialties.com, it's my favorite place. I have had the experience of being treated as though the shop was doing me a favor when I bought elsewhere, but never at these 2 places.

Not exactly. Some are listed as merely "great" and some are "GREAT". When they really brag about an item, then it's exceptional. The condition can be excellent or great, but if they don't mention the condition it's probably well used. I scan their site regularly so I've seen it all!
