Bass player gets whats coming on stage.

2026: World-renowned bass player of the greatest rock and roll band of all time confesses that the band doesn't deserve its recent Grammy for best Intra-Band Stage Brawl, revealing that it was actually well-rehearsed performance art inspired by The Queers in 2015. Fender launches the Dangerous Dave Signature DD-Bass, retiring the P and J models, with its Vic Firth 2B headstock appendage. Documentary filmmaker finds TalkBass participants from the era and asks why they were so uncomfortable with it at the time. U.S. President Alice Cooper encourages the nation to find simple pleasure in the knowledge that some people still seem to find such great satisfaction in sneering at performances they don't like.

Me? I'll take chaos over predictable pablum any day of the week.

I like me some chaos - intelligent chaos. This video? Shite. Just that. Shite.

You want some fun controlled Chaos? Search Youtube for ANY Frank Zappa video from the '70s or '80s. Genius and insane.

As wretched as they sound, the amazing thing is that each and every one of them wasn't at each other's throats. As for the 'bassist'? If you can't play the thing, you might as well hit things with it's headstock?

Geez Harry... We were talking Punk not S&M. But whatever gets a person off is certainly not any of my business.

I was thinking more "corporal punishment" than S&M, but hey - I'm olde school.
I almost kinda want to start a band and call it The Blithering Idiot Hipsters.

I think I've been in that band (Though I was only a sub...)

All I can say is that after seeing the Pistols live at San Antonio's Randy's Rodeo back in the day, these guys are very cheap imitations of the real thing, decades later. Unoriginal and boring at best. One guy was directly between me and Sid, at least up to the point where Sid beat him down with his bass and they dragged him away

Yeah, I'm no stranger to the Mothers, or Cap'n Beefheart, or Crash Worship, or lots of other weird stuff. And I know people find camaraderie in agreeing about the shortcomings of others. Sometimes, it still catches me off guard, though.

Just to be clear I did not post this to show the short comings of this bass player but to show that sometimes guys who don't deserve the shot they got are living the dream while better players and human beings work day jobs and post on bass guitar forums. ;(

I always thought that it was genius of McClaren to send that band through the deep south. Really interesting interpretation of "target audience", don't you think?

It's cool you got to see that. Cooler you didn't get the bass hat. I'll bet that guy is probably still eating through straws.

a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away a percussionist said to me:

"Stop hitting my cymbals and get your GD foot off my kick drum"

I now have two ZBT's, one in the kit and one in the front. I smash them at will, in time of course and I mount up on the monitors if the sound guy allows it. This guy is just being himself.

I mean, its The Queers, cut 'm some slack
