Bass Players VS Chicks!!!!!

You are giving these bar rats way too much credit. They don't give a $h1t what instrument you play as long as you have good stage presence. Often bass players are planted in the back by the drummer with a bass strapped to to their chest and a limp looking plucking hand. Not their idea of sexy and confident. Break out the Steve Harris moves and ye shall be rewarded.

A few years ago at a gig I blew off a smoking hot redhead waitress due to having a girl at home. She then turned her attention to the guitarist. They dated for about a year and she proceeded to turn his life upside down. Couple of nights spent in jail, lost most of his friends and a pretty good gig. Batpoopie crazy chick. You could say I dodged a bullet. Chicks that will go home with you after a gig are usually bad news.

Gotta be careful with the redheads brother...

Yup, it's all in the presentation!! I'll go up to the front of the stage too and rock it out!

+1 - I've been dating my gf for about 9 months, she still asks me which one is the bass when we go see a band...every time:rolleyes:

Might be time to set her down in front of a screen, eyelids taped open, with pictures and videos of basses and bassists on repeat. For days..

If.. uhh, you choose to.. That is..

Seriously, this got too sleazey, too quick.

I have picked up girls after gigs with mixed results. I am picky so things work out well most of the time. I know what to avoid. That said, I have had my share of crazy and I enjoyed both the ride and the lesson learned.

Nowadays I really do not feel like doing this anymore. I am in an originals band and I want to present the band as professionally as possible, I socialize a lot at gigs but don't mess with them females. If somebody is interested I will pass a number and let them go for it. For some reason the crazy ones in my case have been the laziest ones so this has yielded only good results.

Most of the time the girls that put in the time are surprised that my stage persona is only part of my personality, that I have a decent "day" job, a higher education, wear a tie quite often and I am not on "rock" mode 24/7.

But on comparing who gets what from the band, I really do feel the need to say that guitar players should be divided in rhythm and lead. And yes the rhythm guys are more close to us bass players...

LOL!!! I hope not...not all that time I spend in the gym! :P

Yeah, someone mentioned what if the bass player is also the vocalist...b/c Peter Steele played bass, right? And he was frickin' hot!

I knew a girl who hooked up with him. She was about 5'2". She called in to work the next day.
