Well, B1 is actually a full amp head, but it has a GREAT preamp! SVP-PRO is a keeper, TBP-1 is amazing ... but I think B1 is the best!

I'll throw out an oddball choice...the ADA MB-1

Very versatile. You can mix tube and solid state gain stages. Excellent mild to moderate overdrive. Powerful semi parametric EQ. Usable compression and chorus. Two effects loops that can be independently switched in and out. Adjustable crossover if you desire.

You can save multiple banks of presets for clean vs. dirty, different basses, etc.

Tech 21.

For a while I used a rack that switched between the sans amp RBI, and the RPM.
Then I used a sans amp acoustic DI, then a sans amp Bass Driver DI, and now my mainstay is the sans amp VT bass deluxe.

Tech 21 baby-Sansamp in any of its forms.

Sweet! There is a guy on this post that has 2 whole Racks filled with $$$$ Preamps, man I could only imagine plugging my Bass into all those preamps 1 by 1 and really find out which one was my favorite. Would be hella Fun demoing everyone of those...

I was wondering, how do you like that XLS1500 crown amp in your setup?

I got the Crown Class-D because it's super lightweight (about 8 lbs). I just got it, so I haven't gigged it yet. It sounds great in the practice room with no band...I've got a gig on March 28th in a relatively small room with no PA support for bass. I plan to use the pictured rig at that gig, I'll let you know how it stands up in the band/live setting. Not sure which of my cabs I'll use for that gig -- it will either be a sealed 2x10 or ported 1x15.
