GOT DAMMIT!!! Now where am i going to get my Ken Smith slap masters and burners strings from Just got some Slap Masters delivered this past weekend and these things ROCK if I knew he was shutting down I would've bought 4 more pairs for the future- the only stings I use is Ken Smith!!!!!!!!

Just got some KS Slick Rounds from him. They took 23 days to get here but I got a damn good price.

In December of 2007 I started this thread about my experience with Bass Strings Online. It's the only place I've bought Bass Strings from since. Today via a live video Jason announced he's closing BSO.

Like a lot of people here, BSO was my main source of strings, and I buy A LOT of strings. The fact that I could get singles or custom sets was absolutely crucial to my odd tunings. I visited his location twice, and saw him at Bass Player Live a few years back, and then NAMM this year.
A few weeks ago I noticed the online store was getting low on inventory.

Checked out stringsbymail. Limited selection, pretty high shipping prices. They do have some bass singles though, and that's what places need to do to set them apart.

Crap I'm going to miss Jason.

I don’t really have anything unique to add... I’m just really sad to hear this. I wish I could’ve ordered more from Jason over the years. I’ll add to the praise of the great customer service. BSO will be missed.
