Bass stuff you won't own....

Hughs & Kettner - shorten it up already!

Peavey - sounds like Peavely dairy products

Carvin - just don't like it!

Dr. Bass - Corny

Awesome company names:

Ampeg, Diesel, Orange, Hiwatt, Bag End, Spector, Ibanez, Ernie Ball, DanElectro, Ashdown, Mesa Engineering

Bass with spalted wood top.
I don't wanna show the world: "Hey, look, I found a sick rotten tree with a nasty fungus disease on it, and I had it made into a bass for only $3000..."

So go throw up now.

I'd be hesitant to invest in a "Henry the 8x8" cab (by SWR), just because of the execrable pun.
Whoever came up with that should have been fired on the spot :D.

I also wouldn't want to own any piece of gear with a lame, supposedly badass name like
"Destroyer", "Devastator", "Tormentor", "Dominator", anything along those lines.

The fat finger.

Some of us spend ages looking for the perfect balanced bass, install lightweight tuners and then screw a big lump of metal to the headstock.

Ashdown Labs.

Makes me think of geeks in white lab coats scurrying around with clipboards.

Trace Elliot.

Why would someone want to? You would need a big piece of paper depending on how big Elliot is.

I know, but they make basses just like it. As a matter of fact, here y'go.

Ever see the South Park episode when Mr. Mackey ("m'kay?") invented the self powered vehicle that consumed no gas, but required you to insert this thing in your posterior, and then put your mouth around this other thing to steer, and it turned out in the end that you actually didn't need the thing in your butt to make it work? That's what that lower horn reminds me of, one of those "things."

Can we call that the Mackey Self-Propelled Bass?
