Bass stuff you won't own....

In keeping with the OP theme here are a few additions:

Moon - just sounds too 70's or obscene, don't you get busted for droping trou?
Daisy Rock - it's an instrument not a flower, or contradiction in terms
Spector - sounds ominous
Luna - see "Moon" above
Yamaha - I want a bass not a motorcycle
Univox - a single voiced instrument seems too limiting
Rogue - doesn't this mean a "disreputable individual" or lacking in character

I don't know about stuff I wouldn't own because of the name (although a good number of the stuff that is out there that is aimed directly at the Goth market leaves me a little cold...).

I WOULD however, like to have a particular bass simply because of the name. And that is... (wait for it....) one of the old 70's Ampeg "Big Stud" basses. C'mon, it's so bad it is cool!

Every now and then I see one on eBay but so far I haven't been able to win one, keep getting bid up higher than I'm willing to pay.

That bass looks like it has come down with a socially unacceptable disease!
