"Bass-wa Watashi"

Man, go for it! Go, go, go! :hyper::bassist:

But.... what's the JB62-VSP? It looks like the JB62 with the Japanese pickups and all, but it costs as much as the JB62-US..

according to Kenjikun's VERY thorough website on japanese fenders. the VSP is a lacquer version of the JB26 with better pick ups and a 2 piece alder body. Apart from that, I can't get much info on them. I'm dying to get my hands on one if it really is a lacquer finish.

As a fan of Anime and Bass, I'm amazed that I haven't come across this thread sooner. Totally subscribed so that I can read through this when I am more awake.

Also, K-On! was awesome and Beck totally got me more interested in music in general. :D

Konata! Added to buddylist :P
I think we should have an Anime Bass club...

BTW,
So as I mentioned I pre-ordered
Alter Mio figure (School festival uniform, the one the comes out in August)
I'm going to get a small Asuka figure as well (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

And I ordered a few Mangas
Air Gear Vol 14
NG Evangelion : Shinji Ikari Project 1-4

EDIT: I'm GASing real hard for figures ><"!

Female Murderface? No thanks! :p

You'll have to settle for her homeroom teacher, Sawa-chan, then. :D

K-on is seriously one of my favourite animes ever. cute girls, music themed, amazingly funny.. what more could i want. and i think that Mio quite simply described an almost perfect bassist there.
now, as far as music themed anime is concerned, nothing beats Beck. that anime is awesome! and taira is cool as hell(how come i only realised of the irony of this expression now?)

As of season 2 episode 9, 4/5 of the band are seniors and they just had final exams so they are about to graduate, right? That would mean the end of at least the current incarnation of the band. Or am I missing something?

unless the show keeps following the band as it is, yes the end of this season will probably be the break up of the current formation of the band.
plus, i think they're really steering the show towards the second scenario..

Damn, here's hoping they don't fizzle out at the end like Azumanga Daioh did. The Juniors are great, but I'd like to see enough of the original cast before they switch over.

Anyways, here's a shot of the third bass spotted in the show. A BC Rich Mockingbird!

If my constant posting of screenshots is bothering any of you just starting on the series (or those with an actual life who can't watch the current episode the day of its release), please speak up. I'd hate to ruin your enjoyment of the show by posting spoilers you'd rather not see.

I think you will...I believe this season will have 24 episodes! Ep. [DEL]9[/DEL] 10 was Awesome, it's always nice to see crazy death metal Sawa-chan!:bassist:

(fixed)

And yeah, Sawako was amazing in this episode.
It's a relief that her popularity among the students remains soaring, and it turned out her fears about ruining her image were completely unfounded.
She looked gorgeous as the metal-head, and if everyone suddenly started to shun her (while preferring her kireii~~ uguu~ image), I would have raged.

I've played at a school festival now, too. That's what you get for being in a band with people around Mio's age, haha. It wasn't nearly as dramatic as in the series, though - nobody lost their voice or forgot their instrument!
