So many sweet basses on this thread!
Never sell is a great title. Here are my 2 keepers:

This jazz has been my bread and butter for about 7 years now, and the p bass about 5. Ive tried maaaany times to choose just one, but they are both so essential, and between the two i have everything i need. I wish i had the time to take better pictures but here they are:

MIA Jazz, bought from a friend who bought it new around 2000:

I think I had the Head that went with that Traynor cab....a Big ass Traynor YB??? thing prob 200 to 400 watts..two big transformers and a Fan in the side with 2 strap handles ging accross the top at least 4 tubes in line and a couple other tubes mixed in...and It had a Brite switch that would blow people out the window>

That Jazz/Status looks so cool! I was thinking of building one myself. How do you like the tone?

I think that I said, "I'd never sell this bass", about all of these at one time or another ;) ....

This one will probably stay with me though, as it's a fantastic player, with bullet-proof construction.

The other factor, with regards to not selling it, is the fact that I would get nowhere near what I paid for it (as it's a "parts bass" :hmm:).

Carl Thompson 42909. Just got it today. Never sell.

when did you put your order in? i put one in for a 5 string version of that bass in late august. can't wait! exciting to hear that some are leaving the shop.

oh, and never say never. i said the same thing about that bass's almost twin and then i was offered too much money for it, so i sold it.
