Now that Rickenbacker reissued the 4003s, I would love to see them reissue the 4000. I had a 1976 in jetglo...biggest mistake I made was getting rid of it!

Washburn T-35.This one makes me ANGRY!Back in 2004,I had a Washburn T-24 and T-25.I upgraded them as I always do.Gold hardware.Abalone knobs.
But the pickups hummed.

I didn't want a neck pickup.And I didn't want an open hole if I removed it.
I wanted and wished for a Taurus with One MM style bridge pickup.
So I put in a Carvin HB5 in the bridge position.And a coil split switch.On both basses.

After a while I sold them when I discovered Tune basses.
I should have kept them.

Little did I know that Washburn would be making a limited amount of single pickup Taurus basses.
I never heard about them.I never saw any advertisements.I couldn't find any anywhere.
I missed out on exactly what I wanted because they didn't advertise it!

What are some basses you would like to see reissued?

A dream reissue would be a Jazz Bass swamp ash body with a transparent red dye finish on AAAA quilted maple cap, no pickguard, one MM humbucker in the bridge position, black chrome hardware, maple fretboard, abalone block inlays, medium-jumbo stainless steel frets, one piece wenge neck with titanium/carbon fiber truss rod... just like how they made it in the 70s.

And, sacriligious as this may be, I'd love to see a reissue of the Epiphone reissue of the Gibson Ripper. I love the original Gibson Rippers, Grabbers and G3s, and I owned a '76 Ripper for a time, but I've also owned two of the Epiphone Rippers and I really dug them.

They weren't much like the original Gibsons...they had bolt on necks (which I prefer) and a P/J pickup configuration, but I thought they were great. Only trouble is I could never find a case to fit one.

I'd second all of these (already mentioned the Guild B-301 and -302.) Good call on the Ampegs. I used to see those fairly often back in the late 70s to early 80s. Not so much any more!

Are the Dan Armstrong plexis in production at the moment?

Not really a reissue per se, but I'd love to see Wal basses go back into production, particularly the Mach I. Beyond that:

1. An affordable Fender VI (aka Bass VI). Three grand, Fender? C'mon, in terms of wood and size, it's a Mustang bass with two extra strings (more or less), there's no reason an affordable (@ $900-$1200) version can't be made. Why should it be so expensive for what is essentially a long-necked Jaguar guitar?

There's the Squier Bass VI and the Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI.
