In a rock band back in the 80s (I was using the last name of James at the time), they called me "The Great Wall Of Jim", because it became my onstage job to stand between the girl singer and the guitar player, who were dating/fighting, and block her view of him. Otherwise her evil glares would throw off his rockitude, he was a sensitive lad! He sells real estate now.
Thankfully, that nickname didn't transfer to any subsequent bands.

I used to be the only member of the band who lived in downtown Richmond, so our singer decided "Inner City" was a good name for me. Then I moved to a little town 45 mins south of Richmond with our guitarist and her, so the name didn't stick after that. But there's still a pic of me in our Myspace pictures that has the nickname in the caption.
