Bassists you just can't watch

I also never "got" the strumming a bass at the 15th fret with no muting and managing to get an audible bass note as well (excluding Lemmy and Peter Steele, of course, who carved their niche by actually making bass the primary instrument in their bands 
) - to me that's the instant sign of "failed guitarist who was forced by his bandmates to play bass in order to stay in the band" as opposed to, you know, actually liking to play bass and "getting" what it's about. 
*To all here that started on guitar and found your way to bass, the above isn't directed to you - it's to the players that begrudgingly play bass to be in a band and worse off, find mainstream success doing so.

no. Pete should take a lesson from Sid, DONT PLAY!! Sid never did actually play. it was always a different person behind the stage.
So far, he hasn't shown me sh*t except that he knows how to pose for pictures and make teenage girls scream. I have no idea how he got an endorsement deal (signature bass with Squier) and can't even play. The ultimate poser.
For you older guys, I really hated watching Phil Soussan when he played with Ozzy. Trujillo looks huge ape draggin his knuckles around on stage.

+1 all the way. Every time I see the Foo Fighters live, or video, I always feel Nate doesnt fit. I do like his bass playing though, especially on the acoustic stuff.

Mike Porcaro has always been the first in my list. Terrific player, but his stage presence is horrible to me.
