Battery powering a Phil Jones Double Four

Just thought I'd report on the battery I'm using to power my double four.

I have a Dewalt cordless drill that uses the Dewalt 20v Max batteries.
I found an adapter that plugs into the battery and soldered a power plug onto the wires. I can now use my drill batteries to power the PJD4 for hours. Went about 2.5 hours at a rehearsal the other night and it still lit up all 3 LEDs indicating full power.

It's the black piece on top with bare wires. I believe the power plug is a 5.5x2.5 barrel.

I have several batteries for my drill, so I could go all day.
Would you happen to have a pic with the power plug connected to the wires? I only see a positive and negative wire. Is there a ground wire? Thanks!

Would this charger work for the Double Four?

OMG! I just realized that I am a certified idiot!

I was thinking that the adapter connected to the charger, not the battery… which, in retrospect, makes no sense!

OK, I need a DeWalt battery (or two), the adapter, and the connectors. How does the input connector fit in the DC power port of the Double Four? Thanks!

This is literally all there is to it. I was able to 3d print the adapter for free off of thingiverse and had an old bag of random adapters so I found the right plug that matched the double4, cut the cord, crimped on two blade connections and wall-a! There are several adapters you can but online for $10 and same for the plugs.

I contacted PJB directly (via e-mail) and the rep (Freda) e-mailed me back with this response:
Kipp,
We have no immediate plan to introduce the X4C in the US.

OK, this may be a bit off topic, but since this is a Double Four thread...
Googling X4C that I hadn't heard of before, I found a Japanese video comparing it to a "Double Four Plus", that I've also not heard of, and it is not on the PJB website, but, it looks sounds juicy on this Japanese website (view in Chrome with page translation to english feature)...90W, bluetooth connectivity w/separate mixer, USB power, peacock blue color... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Great color, for sure! If that color was available (here in the U.S.), that would be the one for me.

I read the new Phil Jones Double Four are not able to take external battery power anymore. Anyone know anything about that?
As far as I've ever known, only the European version uses a standard AC Euro plug, not the DC brick adapter like in USA, which allows a battery. I just looked at the Phil Jones USA website and that's still the case.

How long does the Double Four run off on those 20v power tool batteries?

It depends on the rated amp hours. My original Lenmar is rated at 5500mAH, which lasts me a good 5-6 hours, probably more since I actually never timed it exactly.

I want to get one of these when they finally make it to the U.S. market… if they ever do!
