Beastie Boys fans?

I love the beastie boys as seen in the pic below (license to ill 1987 tour shirt). I was wondering if anybody else likes them, I see them as the white RUN DMC which is a good thing. Share your thoughts.

All my ******** friends like them cause of failband (sorry enough it's happened with many bands I liked before failband and they hated and now they're like "Whatever, I've like em way longer than you have", bands like weezer, RHCP, rise against, ect ect) so they ruin it for me so I just like to listen to it by myself

Sorry, I'm an old guy, what is failband?

I love me some Beastie Boys. Paul's Boutique makes a great game of name-that-classic-funk-groove-sample.

I love the Beastie Boys!

I remember running around the back yard with my buddy while his big brother and friends would be blasting License To Ill when it first came out. I would have been about eight.
I convinced my parents to buy me that album without them having any idea who they were. Needless to say, my mother didn't think they were exactly appropriate and banned me from listening to it after I was dumb enough to spin it loudly at home while they were around.
Hahahaha, I'll never forget the look on her face the first time she heard "Girls". They tried to hide the album on me but I found it after months of searching when they weren't around.
Also one of the best shows I was ever at was Beastie Boys in Vancouver for their Hello Nasty tour, with Tribe Called Quest.
Ah memories.

Watch using the term ******** Tommy, it might come back to get you.

I personally am glad RockBand and GH came around. Kids actually get to hear, and become familiar, with real music.

Yeah but they kill it so much that it makes it not good for all those who liked it before. Now Dj hero is out and (being a fan of hiphop) all those songs are going to be ruined, the whitest white boy of all mayoville bought it and he has already killed Dave Chapelle and Rick James and is starting to kill Bootsy... so he's gunna kill Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and all the others for me. :scowl: Save me!

I call a video game popular with my generation failband because I hate it, it's actually called rockband. You play the guitar and bass (not real ones) to songs. Then they like the songs and ruin it... Seen above
