Ya know it's a classic when the hiphop kids at school (all they listen to is modern rap/hiphop) love a song that's not modern hiphop. One of their favorites is "No sleep till Brooklyn"

Saw the BB's at'94 Lollapalooza in NC. They blew the Smashing Pumpkins headline gig off the stage.

Was never much a fan of "Licensed..."

Turned on to Paul's Boutique in 1990 by a college buddy. Phenomenal use of funk bass samples. I had not been interested due to my opinion of "Licensed."

The '94 show relied heavily on "Check Your Head" and "Ill Communication" songs.

They played 1/2 show with DJ and 1/2 with instruments.

Amazing. Good stuff. While not necessarily virtuoso musicians, those guys can hold a groove.

Its kind of funny that Metallica got around to Rubin decades after Slayer did.
