Not to derail this thread much, but when are you guys coming back to our area, Ed? It was mighty fun the last time you were here and would love to have you back again. I noticed you're not coming around here on tour and that made me sad ab it.

I'll tie this in to the thread by saying I want to see this rig in action again. It's sweet!

Some find it easyier to keep things organized in the back of their rack. They can have it all in one fixed place and zip tie off all extra chord. It's a glorified power strip, but as I said it offers a way to keep things neat and untangled over a regular power strip. Some people pay for that convinience, while others don't.

seeing constantly all these great new practicable sensible lightweight rigs sprouting everywhere, I must admit, they do not generate the emotion of a big beautiful tube rig....

Just picked up this Ampeg B15 N cab (not including the amp part) and just added my 69 Blueline Portaflex. Not as nice as Jimmy's rig... but man, it sure sounds and looks terrific!

Gonna take my time to look for another B15 amp.

I disagree! I think it does look almost as nice as mine. Stands taller, too. Man, I'll bet that rig is killin'! I've only got one of those Thiele cabs, but it's a low end monster by itself.

( inside every rack a quality power strip attached, with 15ft cord & a pair of tiny night lights, for dark stages ) :D

Yep, 18"s, and they were a special order from Ampeg. And the horns scare me as well to look at, but really, they're very smooth sounding in comparison to the crappy piezos in use in most cabs. Maybe a bit of overkill in this day and age, but it's Staind ;)

I wonder why the speakers in the left 2x18 are rear loaded and the two in the right 2x18 are front loaded?

And it's interesting that only an 18 and a horn are mic'd...the poor 10s must feel lonely!
