I use a Marshall Bass State B65. It has beautiful tone and it has lasted me for the best part of 30 years.
I also use a GK MBE-III. Also a great practice/small gig amp.

You may also want to look at the Phil Jones Session 77 (2x7) combo.
It has pristine sound and with 100w you could use it for small gigs where volume is a concern.

Predominantly bass. I picked up the THR initially as a guitar amp but it ended up being a pretty decent solo bass practice amp. Even used it outside with acoustic instruments and it was no issue, but looking to try something else as a second practice amp.
Also, anything that accepts a line in will work. I occasionally hook mine up to a powered speaker if I need more omph.
I'm a big fan of the Roland Bass Micro Cube. I find the amp models fun and the build-in drum beats, headphone out, and tuner useful. It comes with me in my RV during the summer. I even use it with Eneloop rechargeables outside.
It won't keep up with a drummer, nor will it work for most gigs, but it does what it's designed to do very well.

I use an Acoustic Image Contra. It's a backup for my AI Coda, my main DB gig amp. It's only 12x15x13" and 20 pounds so takes up little space and is easy to move if needed. Of the amps in the poll, it would be closest to the Phil Jones I suppose.
Over the years I've mainly used the smallest gigging amp I had at the time. The mass market practice amps, like an old Crate B10XL I still own but never use are pretty pathetic. I've tried headphone amps now and then but never cared for them.

Recently switched to just going direct into a cheap behringer mixer (from pedals) then into a small digital amp that is hooked up to speakers mounted on the wall at ear level in my basement. I'm amazed at how good this actually sounds and I put it together from stuff I had around anyways. Just having the speakers at ear level makes a huge difference.
