Im not looking for anything decent, just something to play about with
Ehhh... while everyone is bickering over Behringer stuff, I just gigged last night w/my BX3000T - again. I've had it for a bit over a year (apprx. 40+ shows). I am in a loud rock'n'roll band competing with 2 Marshall stacks from each of our guitarists. I crank it - it works - it sounds great- end of story.
Just get the Behringer if you like it.

Another bump for Behringer. I bought a BX3000T a year ago for under $200 as a back up for my SVT Classic. Now I'm using it as my primary head for lots of shows. Not one problem yet, it's loud as hell and weighs 1/3 of the SVT. Works for me!
Since it seems that Behringer has been pretty good with the BX3000T, I wonder when they are going to make the BX6000T?

I use a Behringer 1200 in tandem with an Ampeg b3158. It gives me 270 strong watts and no complaints. The Ampeg gives me good floor shaking rumbles while the Behringer gives me crisp, attacking highs. Also, the ultrabass function in this set up works great.
I do this by running the effects send , which is post eq on the Ampeg, to the Behringer, thus giving the Behringer the same sound created by the Ampeg head but through and aluminum cone. I then tweak the Berhinger slightly to create the sound I want from that.
I have tried Ashdown Mag 115 300, but it doesn't achieve the same end I am looking for. The Ampeg is louder than the Behringer in the mix, however the pair deliver the sound I want.

Ha! Good point. I heard they've copied Ashdown on some of their stuff -- most noteably the 3000.

I'm new to this board, the only reason I got on is I wanted to see if there are other people with problems with Behringer equipment. And lo and behold there are. I own a UB2222FX board ( 1 year old) as well as an EP2500 amp (3 months old). Thus far I have lost the left main output, aux 2, and about 20 of the FX presets on the board and the submasters outs are now losing output. I haven't moved this board nor abused it in any way, it appears to be in mint shape just looking at it. To top that off I was running my Peavey SP-2Xs from a PV2600 amp for several months with no problems then switched over to the EP2500 amp. Within a week the horns in the SP-2Xs were toast and that was with the limiter turned ON on this power amp. So needless to say I won't be buying anything else from Behringer. Luckily I was able to get my horn diaphrams replaced under the Peavey warranty and am back in business. As far as the mixer goes I'll be looking at something else for sure, I've had lots of mixers over the years and this is the first one that's given me any problems. In fact, I had an old Yamaha board built back in the seventies and everything on it worked flawlessly including the old spring reverb. I see no point it gambling your money on something that may last you 3 months to a year and then have to buy another one, it's ridiculous considering something like a mixer should really last forever as long as you take care of it well enough. This stuff is nothing but shiny garbage, my advice is to save your money and buy something better. In the long run you'll save more money paying for something a little nicer than having to pay 8 times for junk that might last a month. For those that have had good experiences with Behringer I consider you lucky and hope that the stuff keeps working for you but I wouldn't hold your breath.

My sentiments exactly. Sometimes you really DO get what you pay for, and that is the case with Behringer. If it works, you're one of the lucky ones, but not a typical one . . .
Well I must be a lucky one then because I have not had one problem with my Behringer gear. I think what comes into play sometimes is how people use it. I baby my gear and take care not to max out or overpower anything. If I have to turn my volume up past 7 then I need a higher wattage amp.
I run my Eden Navigator through the Behringer EP2500 & it sounds fantastic. The price cut allowed me to purchase the USA Eden & a USA Ernie ball Sterling as well.
I heard 2 Behringer rigs while on vacation in Cali & they both sounded fantastic... I was amazed when I went closer to the stage & saw Behringer... especially in Vegas.
The lack of a warranty is a risk, take care of your gear or you may get burned. If my amp craps out I'll share it with but for now its been a fantastic purchase
