You may well be the most self-righteous person i've ever seen.
I'm kind of looking for clarification here. I can't understand what this guy is talking about! I'm not sure what to say. "P" isn't the nicest word I've ever heard and I'm not so sure what makes me self rightous. Thanks for that though.

EDIT: Thanks Mods for changing "P" to person. Good work. :smug:

I'll echo what everybody has said and tell you to save your money. I'm 20, still living at home, and saving just about everything that comes my way. I bought a new bass a while ago and I'm working on paying that off, but saving is the most important thing to me now. I used to be just like you, saving enough to buy that one cool toy that I wanted, and then blowing my hard earned cash in one purchase.
I lived on my own before, and I know how much it really costs. You wouldn't believe how much food is once you really start paying for it on your own.
Right now I have a refridgerator that magically fills back up on it's own, and no rent or utility bills to pay. You should consider yourself lucky that you have what you have.

Oh and once again, just save your cash. Your parents are telling you the same thing because they want to see you out on your own in a fairly short time here. They don't want to be Mommy and Daddy forever you know.

Dear Dr_love2112,

It does sound like you have a crappy life. We sympathize with you.

Sincerely,

Sorry, but I don't agree with that. It's not like anyone else is any different. Say you bitch about having to paint a fence. I could write a comment like yours. Maybe you get delayed in traffic and your boss gets at you. I could respond with a comment like the above. The Starving Citizens of Niger would probably love to only have trivial worries like that. It's his money that he's earned, and you're trying to make him feel guilty for having it?

Edit: for what it's worth, I agree with most of the other comments here, but then everyone wishes they'd saved more in their youth...

All you are doing is going around saying how 'I did this, and you should do it too. I don't care about the financial situation you're in, but I'm right and you should save your money' all the while in a condescending and annoying writing style.

Get over yourself. I'm sure you'll shoot back with some oh-so-sarcasting and cool comment, but I'm done with this thread.

Uh..no. My point was that the starving citizens of Niger would indeed love to only have trivial worries such as that. I was making a joke (at the expense of the starving citizens of Niger) to put things in perspective. There was no guilt-mongering intended.

I'm a bit disappointed. There is not a hint of sarcasm to be found in the quoted post. Disgraceful, I say. Disgraceful.

Buying basses are ok, buying a Motorola Razor isn't. Just get simple cell phone with a color screen and a camera, that's better than my phone already.

O yeah a camera is an absolute necessity nowadays.

I'd like my phone to just make phone calls if that's possible.
