being a teenager..........

Yea it seems like everybody has one now and most of the hilarious videos you see on sites like ebaumsworld are done with camera phones. It's nice to show people pics of anything too, u know hey here's my kid, here's that 18in. smallmouth I caught...yea it helps fishermen a lot too. :)

"being a teenager is the worst 30 years of your life.. peer pressure, acne, final exams, 7 tiny hairs on ur upper lip.. lukily the girls never noticed your infintile mustache because they are hipnitized by the fire engine sized zit on your forhead" - christopher titus

Haha, you know what's funny? I said that to the sales assistant when looking for a new phone.

That was before I worked in customer service, by the way.

Hey you and me both. I always say that when someone is showing off their cool new flip phone with wireless internet and streaming video and whatnot.

Yes, CS is no fun.

AuG (but if Steph wants to call me Oog that's alright by me...) :D

Uh..no. My point was that the starving citizens of Niger would indeed love to only have trivial worries such as that. I was making a joke (at the expense of the starving citizens of Niger) to put things in perspective. There was no guilt-mongering intended.

So, basically you were saying other people have it worse off than him? Eloquent he may not be, but I'm sure he was aware of that. Doesn't mean he can't gripe about it, though I'm not quite sure why he posted about it here.

And I've heard the Razr is a pretty bad phone, anyway.

I'm not a big camera-phone fan myself. The picture quality is just crap, especially if you don't have lots of ambient light. I rarely use mine for this reason--it seems like more of a gimmick. If the image quality was a little better, and I'm not talking about resolution, then it would be different. (I'm speaking mostly for my phone, others might have better IQ.) It also irks me how to get the images on a computer, you have to pay the phone company to email it to yourself. Think of the possibilities if phones could directly interface with computers... you wouldn't need to pay the phone company an arm and a leg to get the latest kanye west ringtone and PiMP pix!

While extras on phones can't hurt, (games, a camera, an extensive planner, goofy ringtones etc) I'd take a reliable, solidly-built phone with solid reception and good sound quality over any extras. As long as phone manufacturers are tied to service companies, this won't happen.

they already do its called bluetooth and you plug a bluetooth converter ($10) into your comouter bia usb. and you can up load music, pics, movies, games, what ever you like.

It is his money that he earned, but he would not have that money available to spend if his parents didnt provide the money nescessary for his living expenses and some of his luxuries.

I think he should repay his parents for their generosity by respecting their advice to save the money.

Most of you get a big fat "whatever" from me.

It's not like the kid ever said anything along the lines of "being a teenager sucks because my parents won't buy me things." His parents said "if you want stuff, get a job".

So he got a job. He earns his money. If you want to begrudge him for living with his parents and taking pop-tarts from the pantry, then you need to be a little less bitter. That's what teenagers do. They live with their parents and eat their food. He's not ungrateful, just confused. And if you're giong to get all sanctimonious about how you've been living in boxcars since you were fourteen or whatever BS you need to claim to make yourself out as the tougher person, than, as I said before, "Whatever".

His parents said "if you want to spend money, go earn it", and he did, and now they're giving him a hard time about spending money, and he's thinking "***?" That's understandable. He's young and confused.

But he'll never be at an age again where his income is completely disposable, and the couple hundred dollars he saves now in his teenage years will be a pretty insignificant drop in the bucket considering the rest of his fiscal life. If he wants to buy his dream bass, now is a fine time to buy it.

The k750i has a 2mp camera, I've seen some great pictures taken with it (though I think you do need to watch the light, otherwise the quality goes to hell). I believe there's a mobile coming out soon that's 4mp or something like that.
