Ben Affleck to play Batman

I thought he was good in Paycheck, but I'm not familiar with the rest of his work to comment on the likelihood of his suckage at playing Batman, as seems to be the feeling here.

I just hope this doesn't turn into a Clooney-bashing thread, despite his less-than-stellar performance as Batman.

I don't know why people make such a big deal about how bad George Clooney was in that movie. The whole movie was a big steaming pile of crappy ***, and Clooney gave his normal level of performance. With no one good to hold him up people just notcied how bad he was, I suppose.

Clooney is good in the context of Clooney. Not as Batman. He was the worst because Clooney is only capable of Clooney. I'll go out on a limb and say Affleck will make a far better batman then Clooney. But then again, anyone would.

Edit: most times Clooney has ever been said in TB history!

That's right, I said Jackman's wolverine sucks.

No disagrement from me. The X-Men movies were all kind of boring to me. They could have been much better cast.

I only have a BBM, RC-2 and a GT-6B. Nothing worth sending :p

I used to love my RC-2, but I sold it trying to chase a good fuzz.
Ive got a Ditto looper now, and its alright.

does it really matter? Batman has been done to DEATH. The last 7 or 8 were as cheesy as the 60s TV show.
How many times can you retell the same story before it gets old?

Sounds like someone hasnt seen the last three.

Clooney is great. O' Brother, Where Art Thou? is my favourite.

He is good, but if you think about, he's not very dynamic. He is always Clooney. He just chooses roles that call for Clooney.

On another note... has anyone heard the news that Bryan Cranston has reportedly been cast as Lex Luthor? I may actually want to see this now.
