I would like to see the low mid range come down to 100 hertz to allow some overlap with the bass. The 120 -150 Hz region is critical with acoustic bass guitars and basses with dead spots on the g string.

Yeah, agreed. I was just thinking that, since it's all digital, why not just give the option to free all frequencies for each knob? Someone may want a slight cut at 40 hz, boost at 120 hz and then cut at 550 hz. Maybe it won't be used by most, but it would be awesome to have an amp with the ability to shape the eq with such precision and freedom...

This has already been taken care of. LoMid will go down to 100hz now in 25hz increments, and the HiMid will be going down to 400hz in 100hz increments and the bass will be exending up to 150hz.
Agree, definetely can get overwhelming for many. That's why I'm proposing an "options unlock"... This way you can have a "simple mode" with the basic options, and then something like "advanced" for those who wanna change the Q, have no frequency limits etc. If this is more than someone can handle, easy: they should just never choose to unlock the advanced options.
My $.02, this is the most flexible, useable eq I have used on a bass amp. I seldom need more than a little bit of eq if any and I am not a constant knob tweeker. But, it won't do any harm to improve or add features.

Welp, I couldn't take it anymore and picked one up...very glad I did. For the last 5-6 months I've been playing and gigging the Darkglass amp with my NV412. Great amp but the B|Amp is definitely warmer and rounder, which is what I wanted. AND finally a master volume taper that doesn't give you 95% of the amps power within one nanometer of operation. The taper on the master is sooooo nice for finding just the right volume.
Anyways, more to come as I honeymoon. I'm really digging the OD....sounds pretty good to my ears in mild amounts.

Yes indeed, I have all the profiles loaded for my Berg cabs (NV 115, 212T and 412). I hear a difference in each. Also, I threw it on top of my 3015 Kappalite Dually 215 and it sounded exceptional as well.
I played round with the B-Amp last night. WITH the manual at hand. .. I'd forgotten how to store etc. It really is a piece of cake. ..even I can do it.
Saved a nice slightly compressed slap tone. ..for the rare times I use this. ..albeit WITH a dash of OD added. .. I rarely use anything without a lil drive. .even if it's almost unnoticeable. ..I find it helps it all "sit" better in the mix. . That worked well- at home. ..will see this Sat how it goes at gig levels.
And in mem.2 pos just my usual tubey tone - comp on about 2... gain to match levels. OD on about 8 so it drives when I dig in but stays clean playing soft to regularly. .. love it!
Looking forward to trying these at gig this weekend.

The honeymoon is going well. I'm very impressed with the clarity of the amp. Feels like there is no congestion anywhere in there. High notes really ring like a bell...like hitting the top of the Liberty Bell with a piece of rebar. Warm, clear and round; not a bad way to go. Amp sounds absolute sick with my NV cabs and still outstanding with every other cab I've run it through so far. Very happy.

I got a "situation" here with a B|AMP and something is telling me that I'm missing on a very obvious detail to fix it but, I just can't put my finger on it.
I'll (try to) keep it short.
I bought a brand spanking new B|AMP in November 2016 that John Files sent directly to my local AD just for me. It was meant to be my pratice amp (I got a tour gig rig) that I would keep at home. Perfect head to hear how my basses really sounds like and how much I can be sloppy and suck on a bad day.
Then my friend drop by a few weeks later, right after the HDN112 started to open up real nice.
So, he sits down and start playing the small rig and, fall in love with the tiny set up.
It's not his first rodeo.
The guy is sponsored by my favourite luthier from Hamilton, he gets to organize a Bass Camp event here in Quebec and spend time scheduling master classes with obcure cats like League, Gwizdala and Caron.
He knows good tone when he hears it and that day, his Fodera sounded as if a misty veil that he didn't know was there had been lifted. I had told him about the transparency, clarity, uncoloured and synergy of the setup but, tone speak louder than words (my words so it seems).
Anyway, he calls me two days later and offer me a great trade in exchange of the B|AMP and HDN112. Something that I was bugging him about for quite a while so I agreed.
Fast forward to Thursday evening.
He had that pretty standard corporate gig so I went with him because we had other plans after that.
A very small venue/ensemble stuff.
He went there very light gearwise, just the HDN112, B|AMP and his Noble. He power the B|AMP on and just as the display get lit, the red PROTECT LED turns on.
We double check everything, removed the Noble from the signal chain, check for faulty cables, no luck. The place had no PA so, we didn't try the DI.
Luckily, I had a TH350 in my Portabag and we set it up and the gig went fine.
It has only been 24 hours since the issue arose but the B|AMP is still dead silent. We went through every trouble shooting we could think of but,the red PROTECT LED still lit every single time.
Zero sound coming out of the cab(s), no hiss, nothing. The preamp section respond to the commands (EQ section) but, even after reinstalling the firmware, factory reset... nothing's working (not even the fan when I set it to 2 Ohms). We don't even hear relays clicking on startup.
One thing that I'm wondering is that while we were bringing the gear on the stage, the Noble and B|Amp were in a padded Aguilar carry bag on top of the HDN112 and his bass gig bag strap drag the carry bag on the edge of the cab where it felt down gently on the floor, a 14" to 16" fall.
I mean, could that explain it (The Noble is fine. In fact, both pieces of gear have always been trouble free)?
The B|AMP unit is flawless, not a dent nor scratch since it was protected with padding. I know it's built like a tank and it's meant to be road worthy and reliable so...
Bad A/C?
Fuse?
Ground issue?
Anyone has any ideas, anything he can try or, should he just sent the unit (what's the turnaround time for RO at Berg?) to the tech bench under the limited warranty?

Yep, that was his first reflex since he put the unit on mute before shut down.
