OK, just installed 4.10, and have had the amp running in playing operation for about an hour. Sounds great. No fan activity at all. I'm running into an AE212; so, 4 ohm operation. FWIW. OOC, did you check your fan operation settings? Assume you did, but just asking.I am at rev 4.1.
Thanks for checking. No, I did not think to check the fan setting since I've never changed it. Running at 8 or 4 ohms at a fairly low level at home. I'll investigate further when I have time. Not too concerned even if it is an issue with the amp since I know it will be taken care of. They obviously stand behind their products. I'll contact them if something seems amiss. I do have to say it's never done this before under the same circumstances and it is frequent and really quite loud .OK, just installed 4.10, and have had the amp running in playing operation for about an hour. Going to mess around with the footswitch a bit. Gosh, it's small.
I'm sure Jim will take care of you.Tha

Do you have anything saved in Mem1 or Mem2? If not it won't toggle anything. It should toggle Mute if you press and hold the right pedal for about 1.5 seconds though. So, I hooked up the footswitch. It pairs with the amp, and the amp sees it. But, then I can't get it to do anything at all. I've sent John a note requesting some kind of idiot proof instructions to get the switch actuating the amp Mem locations and the other features.
Does anyone have this thing up and running yet? Anything special that needs to be done with the switch?
Confirm that you are running the most current firmware and that it is on and that you are actuating the switches .(I know this is all obvious but I got nothin' else for ya). Thanks, Jim!
Yes, got it now. I was tapping the thing a little too gently. It needs a very definite step to actuate and hold for the Standby condition. Guess it's something I will get used to.

Was this happening before you loaded 4.10? We've lowered the temperature in which the fan engages since the B|AMP's release due to the fact that the ICE module's power supply runs hotter on 230V than on 115V and there's no way to monitor it, only the amplifier section's temperature. So we compensated for this by lowering the temperature in which the fan engages based on the reading from the amplifier section of the module. I can in a few weeks create a separate firmware for those who operate on 115V and would like to see the fan kick in later rather than sooner. Please feel free to check in with me at [email protected] in a few weeks.Jim Bergantino do you have any input on my fan situation?
This is post V4.10. I am running at 115VAC so it would be nice to have a firmware option for this. Thanks! Was this happening before you loaded 4.10? Couple of answers:Hi, I just found out this amp. Looks great and I have some GAS for it.
I have some questions though:
1) Is there a profile for my Bergantino AE 212 cab (600W 4 ohm) in this amp?
2) What's the exact idea about the profiles? Is it so that it also can be used as a standalone amp without a cab? I mean at gigs for going directly to the FOH with no cab. Like an amp/cab modeller.
3) What is the European price?
4) anyone here using it with acoustic upright?
