Bergantino B/Amp at NAMM

I am keen on this amp. However, it kind of looks like it might be going the way of the Peavey Minimega...a somewhat indeterminate status. I thought it was meant to be hitting the dealers around now...anyone have any news?

If any manufacturer could have it sold at your house yesterday he would.
We are fortunate that we get heads up on development, changes, beta testing, etc.
We can see it this way or act impatient.
We could, know nothing and then suddenly the unit appears.
Pick your poison.
The builder isn't playing tease the customer. A bunch of you would complain loudly if a product came out with flaws. So he's d'd if he does & d'd if he doesn't.
Now when it's a Bergantino product I say, "Sir, take your time , consider bassists' input, rely on your own vision foremost, and bring us the high quality products we love!"

Show it at NAMM, there is an expectation you can deliver. Jim created the expectations himself, and said he could deliver in May.

Anybody want to bet a hundred bucks it will be out a year closer to its due date than the "P" amp?
I am at an amp crossroads. I have an IP310 which is a thing of beauty but it is........ heavy. Has anyone who has experience of the original IP range actually messed with one of these. I am guessing that it will be the same kind of deal but it will be a huge disappointment to me if I sell the IP to fund a B Amp + cab only to find that the IP magic is not there.

I will caveat this by saying that I only heard it at the NAMM Show, but the "B/Amp magic" did seem very similar to the "IP magic" (don't say that out loud, btw!). However, the IP's really shine when slamming them on a gig, and without putting the B/Amp through similar paces, I must reserve final judgment.
The signs are certainly positive, though...
The TH500 and B|Amp are two very different beasts. If you like your TH500, that's great. Having played the B|Amp, I say it's worth the wait.
Didn't say they were apples and apples, clearly they are not. My point was I got a new cab and needed a new head now and did not want to wait six months.

I get it. My implicit point was, what if you like the B|Amp 100 times more than the TH500?
Well I figure maybe in a couple years I would look at it again. I also do not want to be the first guy to get one of these quite complicated heads. I figured it may take awhile to get the bugs out of the software. Just my opinion of brand new products in general. And in the meantime I am enjoying gigging with the TH. A lot.
I agree - I usually like to wait a while until at least the "B" revision comes out. This time, though, I'm taking the dive as soon as they hit the street. I'm sure Jim will make good on any potential issues, and firmware is upgradeable from the internet through a thumb drive. The amp is actually very intuitive - much more so than the TCE RH-series amps.
