Bergantino B/Amp at NAMM

I regularly use a 212 and 112. I'm disappointed the B-Amp isn't capable of running that configuration.
Not a lot of class D's that can power that set up. I use a Shuttlemax 12.2 for my HD212/112. I was looking at the Tecamp Puma 1000 but the new one does 2ohms a side @ 500 watts so substantially less at 4 & 8ohms (dumb).

Still interested in the B-Amp but I'll have to hang onto my Shuttlemax if I want to run the 212/112 combo.

I posted this in the Bergantino thread earlier because I forgot this was the thread we were wondering about the "ER" cabs... question answered!

Sorry the screenshot is so HUGE lol.

I'm sure there's a way you can use the B-Amp as a preamp and run it into a power amp that is capable of powering that setup, if you really wanted to...

From the horse's mouth, there will be profiles for only current cabinets when the amp is released. Profiles for discontinued cabs may or may not be released in the future. (I would be happy if Jim makes a liar our of me.)

OK, I am a liar, which is good news. Here's the scoop:

"The profiles for the AE series will eventually be available, as will the following discontinued models:

HT112ER
EX112ER
HS210
HS410

It will most likely be the original HT models such as the HT210, HT115, HT212, HT310, and HT322 which will not be available, but you never know!"

Really pleased that Jim will be making profiles available for the HT112ER cabs, brill!!

I played this at NAMM and talked to Jim as well. During the design there were many discussions about how to voice the preamp. The verdict: keep it flat and let the user defined EQ do the talking. In fact the cabinet optimization profiles are designed to flatten the frequency response of the various cabinets and reduce their inherent quirks so things are more even and responsive. Also a feature I found really cool was the adjustable high and low pass filters.

And if it wasn't already mentioned, the cabinet optimization does not go through the DI and the DI can be switched pre or post EQ.
