send your unwanted NV215s thisaway!!
They obviously have a following. I don't know how many he sells/sold but the bigger ampeg, mesa, etc will prolly keep selling. I also see where the Berg customers gravitate to. He can only make so many at a time.Jim has no plans (at this moment) to reintroduce the bigger NV series cabs.
or an NV315!!
Ooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! Now there's a thought. Prolly too heavy/big though, even with Neos.
wus! this ain't talkharmonica!![]()
I can do most of those. Actually, all of them except for the Bassman 100. Problem is, not all of my gear is in the same location. Still, I already have some of those set up in my basement and ready to go for tomorrow. Got a nice set of comparison cabs ready to go, as well.![]()
Hey Tom, was there any grit or growl to the sound or was it very clean?
With clean heads, it sounded pretty clean. The proto with the original Eminence 15 (and the attenuator on the mid) did have a bit of noticeable grit/growl. The cab with the newer, modified Eminence 15 was a bit more clear/clean, I thought. They sounded a bit more clean and pure than the NV215, which is the most clean sounding of the big NV cabs.
One thing I did notice was that these cabs were quicker than most to be coaxed into a more gritty/grindy/growly tone if you start to dial in some drive from a head or pedal.
