Bergantino NV158? ???

I am lucky to have one in my area. I'm going to ask Juan at Bass and Beyond if he's going to get any of these in stock so I can try one out.

Not many 'brick and mortar' Berg dealers. I would call first also. Dealers obviously have been able to order the HD series for a while. The CN starts to ship in about 2 weeks, but will of course take a bit longer to fill the channel. I would think the 15/6 is a couple months away at this point if the decision to go ahead with it was just made. Takes a while of the components to be ordered and produced... especially the OEM stuff.

Yeah, the delta is what I meant. I have been tossing the idea around of building a sealed 15/6 cab using a delta pro15-a and alpha 6-cbmra crossed with an eminence 1.6khz 2-way. A real workingmans cab were you wouldn't have any issue getting replacement parts. Im sure that Jims cab would sound different but, they definitely could be cousins. Again, I've had this idea for a long time and have no interest in doing a cheaper version of Jims cab. I plan to get a pair of those as well. It just so happens that when using these two drivers with that x-over point, you get a tone profile that is very much what I prefer.

Thanks for the review Tom! I am still digging my NV215 and can't see losing it in the foreseeable future. I am happy about your love for the NV215 and as a benchmark (sort of), for your taste. Way Cool!!

I too love my NV215, however.............I did see where Tom Bowlus said it knocked off one of his berg "idols" the nv215.............so im very interested in this........I have also heard that the HD212 is built for rock too! I want both...........so I might move my NV215

JGR dumped his in favor of 2 Bag S15Ds !! I don't know. I'm not rolling in dough and will just sit back and watch. I'm sure a pair would top the NV215 , but prolly not one.

I agree and I'm shocked about a bag end swap for the nv215 but to each their own

Not at all, knowing JGR's tone goals from is clips, etc.. The NV215 was IMO all about fat, relaxed, R&B type performance. If you want a ton of mid punch, like the NV610, the little Bag End 15's will get you there in at least some ways. I found the NV215 almost the definition of 'not aggressive'.

If you dig Duck Dunn.... the NV215 is quite something IMO.

Sounds like Jim is voicing the NV156 kind of in between those two 'extremes'.
