Bergantino NV212T

The power handling of 400 watts @ 8ohm is very conservative. That being said, even though it can handle more power, it does reach a point of diminishing returns such that you would need more cone area to achieve appreciably more output, not just more power. That's what the NV412T is for or 2 NV212T's. The weight however, is the weight:)

JFYI, for those in the Austin, TX area, the NV212T proto is at Austin Guitar house and will be there through next week if you would like to stop by and give it an audition. After that it will be at Bass San Diego until NAMM.

I have an NV115 and a CN112. The CN112 has better low end in the specs but when played the NV115 bottom end is huge, the low fundamentals just come through. It would be interesting if Jim made a sealed NV112 or NV110. The disadvantage would be you would need more power but with class D amps that is not much of a problem these days, watts are cheap.

Very cool cab. I had the NV412 for a while... it was a beast! Gigging that thing was an experience - in a good way. Moving it, not so much. Ultimately was just too much cab for me. I've never been a fan of the tilt back thing either. It's fine until you need to turn a tight corner, or go thru a narrow hallway, etc.

Two of the NV 212s would be a pretty sweet big rig. I think a lot of guys will like this rig.

I think a 4 ohm NV410 might make a few guys happy too.

I'm thinking two! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

I like the way Tom thinks!

A stacked vertical pair would be a sweet stage rig!

Btw, Jim's website is now showing the NV212T cab with a note that says "Available mid-February 2017" and that he is taking pre-orders now.

For the record, I have no affiliation with Berg. But I have owned Berg cabs in the past and I was very pleased with them!

Monday I was told availability within 2 weeks, so hopefully end of February.

Day 4 with this cab and it is breaking in nicely. This sucker flat cranks. Gives me the tone I loooove from my 412 at a more reasonable level. Not quite the same all-out assault of the big brother but no slouch. Can't wait to practice with the band the weekend. More to come...

Still loving mine. It continues to open up each day and is sounding better and better to my ears. Both those amps you mentioned are going to pair well with 212T, I can virtually guarantee that. In fact, I've put about 15 amps (SS, full tube, hybrids) through the 212T and haven't found one that sounds bad. This cab obviously shines with tube amps but if you like that sealed cab vibe, it delivers in spades. I don't use the tweeter at all, well I mess around with it but never gig with it, and roll it all the way down...still PLENTY of highs. The NV's just excel at smooth and sweet high mids and highs that never sound harsh or brittle.
