best 8x10 for the price ?

Brand new - best bang for the buck is going to be Carvin at around $550 or so...plus shipping I think.

Used - just like everyone else said, you can find Ampeg 8x10's all over for pretty cheap.

However, that Ampeg cab sure is heavy. The Carvin comes in at just under 120 lbs....not bad at all for an 8x10.

Whats the best sounding 810?

Bergantino NV610......

:D

That was going to be my line... :p

If you're going cheap, I agree on the Ampeg 810 - I've gigged a lot through these and they are awesome. But anything Bergantino is tops. I really like Genz Benz stuff as well and think the pairing with the NV610 would be amazing (though I've never personally played through that exact rig)...

humm not a bad idea . how aggressive can the cab get I wanna know cause I tried a GBE 750 with a svt 6x10 and also my peavey 2x15 in a store and I got the tone I always wanted but If I can just have one cab not too big not too small not hard to find .
And I have heard alot of good things here on tb about the bergs

I always recommend that you don't buy an amp that you have never heard before. You may get what you want, you may not. Try hitting your local bass shop, Guitar Center, Sam Ash. etc... and try the gear out with YOUR bass. If your buying used, shipping on a 810 is very expensive and you are going to be bummed out to get it home and find that it is not what you were looking for.
