Best Amps Under $350

Brand spankin' new GK Backline 600 for $299...awesome little amps for not a lotta cash =)

A lot of people say bad things about it, but the EQ is very sensitive and I haven't really exercised its possibilities to a great extent until recently. However, they tend to get a little muddy if you crank them up all the way, but what solid state amp under $350 doesn't do that at least a bit? =/

I want to play in medium sized venues like 300 people and i want power but cheep i don't care about the weight i've been borrowing a gk and i like it but i'm interested acoustic one my repliers have been talking about

I have an SWR Workingman's 4004 that's a great sounding head for 300 bucks. A little weak on volume for 400 watts but full of tone.

I replaced it with an 800RB to keep a 150 watt cab in my setup. The SWR was giving it 200 watts at 4 ohms, but the GK is biamp capable.

If you want a rig that can do anything, you could pair the Acoustic head up with the 410 and 115 Acoustic cabs. You could get the head and both cabs for under 800.00 and would be able to gig it anywhere.

Well, Acoustic makes a 200 watt combo amp (B200) that uses the same head as the stack (B200H) but has the 15 inch cab built into it. All I know is that it sounds just as good as the whole stack and if you want to have a 410, then you could buy it later and add it onto the combo for less money than the stack, its what I did and it has worked better than any other setup I've ever tried.:D

Yes, both these cabs were released for simulatanious use with the b200h. The whole stack really does sound fantastic, but like I said before, you could simply get the B200 combo and add a 410 to it (this is because it uses the same head and has a series-out jack on the back, it even lists the 410 as an option for the combo on Acoustic's website) this would save you quite a bit of money.

Sufern, I don't know all the tech-no-babbel....or the why's or what makes it this way....but the Acoustic 200H head reminds me power wise of my old G.K.800. It's "LOUD" watts. Pair it to the right speakers and that 200 watts will go a long way.
When I was trying out the Acoustic head at G.C. I ran it through a Ampeg SVT 810, wow, loud....but with usable tone.
To soon to say how the quality will be, but they seem well made.
Best bang for your buck on the market!
