Best Heavy Metal Album Ever!

For the heck of it, here are some of my favorite metal albums:

Metallica- Master of Puppets / And Justice For All / The Loads
Slayer- South of Heaven / Seasons In The Abyss (more variety than RIB)
Carcass- Heartwork
In Flames- Colony
Cynic- Focus
Dream Theater- Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (sorta metal)
Anthrax- Sound of White Noise / We've Come For You All
Megadeth- Rust In Peace
Death- Human through to Sound of Perseverance
Opeth- Blackwater Park
Judas Priest- anything 70s

that's all I got for now

They all ****ing rule, no matter what anyone says.

You never said you were an Iron Maiden/Queensrÿche fan!

I was !! actually I used to play covers of slayer, venom etc 20 years ago. Iron Maiden was the first rock band that I heard that was when I was 10 years old ( number of the beast ). Steve Harris was the reason I picked up the bass guitar, that is the reason I LOVE P's too

I met Jesus 7 years ago , these days I only play and listening workship and praise music. But I still can tell you which bands are good and who is just crappy noise :hiding:

Maybe thats my problem...Im missing about 3 strings...I play a 4 banger! Think I have the jist of it..just cant get my fingers moving fast enough. That song is 7 minutes of kick ure arse! My husband plays it with ease on the guitar....kills me!!!! Maybe I need to just settle to the fact that Im not a metal player. Ill go cry now!

start slow. repeat many many times, incrementally increasing speed. stay relaxed.

repeat every day. :) and most of all, be patient.

Only Living Witness- Prone Mortal Form. Find me one vocalist today whose voice is as raw, genuine, melodic and whose lyrics are as cryptically literate as Jonah Jenkins. This record grooves and their bass player has total Dave Ellefson tone...with his fingers.

Haven't even thought of these guys in years, I must have seen them 20 times when I was in high school. I remember them doing 'Log' from the Ren and Stimpy show. Good band, and that's a good record.

Lucky you! I wish I could've flown out to see one of their reunion shows this past June. They did two Saturdays at the Middle East, and if the Youtube footage is anything indicative, it was amazing.

Not to derail this thread, but I think its silly giving up something you like, especially musicwise, for religion.

Just my 2 cents.

Love the photoshop billboards tho! Epix Win!

No, NO, NO. Best Heavy Metal Album Ever:

FORBIDDEN: TWISTED TO FORM

Seriously listen to it, then go take Reign In Blood and Saint Anger Outside and piss on them, then burn them, because after this album they simply won't measure up any more.

You can and should still listen to Slayer. Tom Araya (or however you spell his name) is Catholic.
