Christopher Guest, Nigel Tufnel in Spinal Tap is a great mockumentary writer and director. He has a whole series of various
activities he makes fun of brilliantly. But on the musical front his "A Mighty Wind" does the Spinal Tap treatment to Folk music.
Many of the actors in A Mighty Wind were in Spinal Tap as well as many of his other movies. Interestingly, they never really rehearsed scenes and ad lib-ed the dialogue for most of his films, Spinal Tap included. Guess who plays the stand up bass in A Mighty Wind?..... the three guys on the left in red shirts were the musicians in Spinal Tap.

I like this one as well.
Eugene Levy is very funny in it.

At one point they did some concerts as Spinal Tap, with the Folksmen opening.
I would have enjoyed that--but apparently some people weren't in on the joke.
