I call that one of the poopiest live performances that has ever been brought to stage. Never saw someone raping the Solo of "Comfortably numb" in such a cruel way. Not to mention the poopieload of bad vocalists along the show.
Nevertheless (as a german) I remember that we were all glued to the TV when it was broadcasted live. Although a bad performance in my opinion, it remains the biggest production ever brought to stage and the only one that happened in two different countries simultaneously.
I prefer PULSE (both CD and DVD) as possibly the best live performance. Although there had been some dubbing here and there from other shows at the same venue, it reflects the perfection of this production in sound, playing skills and atmosphere. Having "the dark side of the moon" in it entirely is just the icing.
In general, Machine Head shows are what I enjoy most, but it is impossible to capture that in a DVD or any form of recording. You have to be there, I have all their live albums but I have to say they suck in a way.
Oh, and Blind Guardians live performance at the Blind Guardian festival (not sure whether or not that is available as CD, it is as DVD for certain)
