Best Live for me:
1. Tool at a very small Club in 92 - Paul D'Amour
2. Jane's Addiction with Flea on Bass was incredible, and the stage show was sick! (had Naked Women dancing in elevated Cages on Massive Poles, and all kinds of fun gimmicky stuff)
3. Primus Live is ALWAYS a treat. - Les Claypool
4. Jesus Lizard - David Sims
5. I'm not a big Iron Maiden Fan, but Iron Maiden Live is Amazing. - Steve Harris
6. RHCP - Flea
7. Meltbanana - Rika Hamamoto
8. This Local Band called Scorpion V.S. Tarantula that I can't seem to get enough of. Must see live because their stage presence really Makes the Band. - None until recently, then - Tana Satana
9. Quicksand - Sergio Vega
10. Fugazi always better live! - Joe Lally

For me, these 3 bands have reigned chaos at each and every gig I have seen them at:

1. Machine Head (Adam Duce on bass), these guys just bring it at every single live gig. They were ten times better than slipknot on the all hope is gone tour, they just kick ass everywhere they go.

2. Lamb of God (John Campbell on bass), to be able to write such complex music and nail it live every time is phenomenal IMO. John Campbell is a top bassist and Randy Blythe is a VERY good frontman.

3. Devildriver (Jon Miller on bass), these guys are another band that kick ass live, featuring ex-Coal Chamber vocalist Dez Fafara who is known for provoking one of the world's largest ever circle pits @ Download. Always solid live.

Kinda hard picking 3 bands, as most bands I have seen live have been very good...but those three just stick out to me.

Earth Wind and Fire (Verdine White),
The Who (John Entwistle),...

They're all constantly great when perform live.
