Best portable amp for commuting to school by train?

A TC BAM200, or Warwick Gnome amp head. They're both tiny, light and relatively cheap. You could practice at home with headphones through them and keep a cheap second hand cab at collage to plug into. There has to be somewhere there where you can get a cab locked away when you're not using it.

This is what I use for jamming. A Valeton TAR-20B with a DYI 1x8 cabinet. Head fits in my gig bag, no problem

Not yet sadly, Classes have started getting rough and I've been busy with Kendo, but I do plan on most likely getting the Phil Jones or the tiny speaker and head combo for now, the music clubs been very quiet lately on campus

Phil Jones Bass Double Four with laptop battery is the way to go. I just got this set up and I'm blown away with the sound and portability. There's got to be some kinda Voodoo involved getting those low frequencies out of 4" speakers. These are true BASS amps.

I have the PJB DOUBLE FOUR with a laptop battery. I use a Kala fretless ukulele bass or a NS Design electric upright bass played through a Zoom A3 guitar pedal (with rechargeable AA batteries). I set the pedal up for upright bass and add a small room reverb. The pedal boosts the bass sound and acts as a DI and a preamp and has an output to connect to a PA system. This system works for 6-8 hours before I have to recharge the batteries. I carry 2 sets of AA batteries with me. I also love the sound and portability.
