I know music is subjective, but I'm pretty sure Frank Bello was a thrash bassist (not quite the same thing, IMO).

For punk I've always enjoyed Fat Mike.

Title says it all. Who is your favorite punk bassist? Mine is Frank Bello.

Although Anthrax would like to say they have punk roots, Frank Bello is most definitely a metal bassist, with a style straight out of the Steve Harris school of galloping.

However, their founder bass player, Dan Lilker, whilst essentially a metal bassist, certainly has a more punk feel to his playing.
