best super groups

Bands that came together from successful other bands, such as atoms for peace with Thom Yorke from radiohead and flea from rhcp. Please include cd or dvd that showcases them. Another example would be rage against the machine minus lead singer and singer from soundgarden.

Blind Faith (Cream + Traffic)
Pigface (Everyone + Their Mothers)

Also, has anyone else thought that since the bass player and drummer are all that's left from the Beatles, and the guitar player and singer of the Who is all that's left of that group -- that there should be "The Whotles"?

Blind Faith (Cream + Traffic)

I though Traffic was a bit later...maybe not.
Cream was a supergroup (John Mayall Bluesbreakers + Graham Bond Organisation...the 3 guys were considered highly enough on their own...that's why they were called CREAM!).
;)

Led Zeppelin was almost Moon/Entwistle + Page/Plant.

Captain Beyond (Deep Purple + Johnny Winter And + Iron Butterfly)

Here's more-
Supergroup (music) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Journey, CSN&Y, UK, ELP, Asia, Humble Pie, Ginger Baker's Air Force, etc.

I was thinking Weather Report & Return To Forever in the Jazz Fusion realm.

Black Country Communion

Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian, and Joe Bonamassa.

Actually an eclectic bunch imo. Glenn Hughes is awesome; but neither him nor Roger glover are better than one another. Joe Bonamassa one of the greatest sixers. Derek Sherinian certainly a world class key guy, just google him. Bonham. nuff said.
