[Chowderboots]

Chowderboots, are those Peavey cabs, the 1x18" & 2x10" cab??? If so what do U think of their sound??? We can find 'em surprisingly cheaply here in Aus. & have been thinkin about grabbing one one day.

Hey, duder! They are indeed the 2x10/1x18 cabs you speak of! Peavey 1810s all the way. I love their sound. By all means give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The variety between the 10s and the 18 really fleshes them out. The ability to plug into all of them, just the 10s, or just the 18 makes them perfect for me...that kinda flexibility is pretty unique, I think. Simple to work with and they yield great results. I got mine for $150 apiece, so it makes them feel like that much more of a win for me. And for 1/3 the price of that Mesa cab, they are so worth it. If you see one for cheap and it sounds clean, get it! They are a lot of fun in any case.

To me, they are the ultimate black metal cabs

Hopefully there's a lot of air volume behind those speakers somewhere. I have some plans for and enclosure for the 30W at home and, iirc, the enclosure for one speaker is 4 feet by 8 feet by 4 feet. Kind of funny for a speaker rated 60 (sixty) watts!
