i've got a mesa powerhouse 1200. weighs about 140 pounds. i'm the only guy in the band who can deadlift it into the van on his own. (not that it would matter, i'm sure i'd have to carry it no matter what... thank god for the casters).

right now i usually drive it with an aguilar db500 but i've got an SVT-6 if i ever need to really push the volume.

those big enough?

Even if we are a minority around here, it warms my heart to see so many other people embracing the big cabs. I am especially heartened to see so many of the old aluminum-strip Peavey cabs displayed here with pride.

I'll take a picture tonight of my rigs---I've got an Ampeg 810E, and Acoustic 301, and an Acoustic 406, which I have gigged with whenever I had room in the car (i.e., if I wasn't also transporting a PA or other stuff). Or maybe I'll wait till my Fender Dual Showman 2x15 cab also shows up---it's being delivered next week. Although, that is technically a guitar cabinet, although with two fifteen-inch speakers.

I have a pair of Peavey 1810s and a Sunn 4x12. The 1810s come from my Mesa 400+ currently and the Sunn gets powered by my Hartke 2000 (which I am liking less and less. I wouldn't be sad to see it go for some money at the moment).

I have an insatiable hunger for Mesa cabs. My 400+ has changed the way I see everything. What gain! The Mesa cabs come in shapes and sizes that please me (who else makes a 4x12 or that big or badass?)...some day I will need to get some.

In the meantime, this is the place for me...I will stick around, I think.

Back with a pic!

Besides the Ampeg 810E, Acoustic 301, and Acoustic 406, also pictured are an Acoustic 104 6x10 and Ampeg V4 4x12, and a Bag End S15B-C. The BE is on top of an Eden D410T but it's turned sideways and you can't really see it.

Come on, what's the name of the music store in that pic. ;)

Really though my wife would kill me if I attempted to keep all of those.

On the other hand, she would be able to use one of them as a coffin to bury me in. lol

Nice! I never knew about Peavey 18" cabs until I found talkbass, now I'm finding out lots of people have them! Let's see some pics of those fine PV and Sunn cabs!

WOW  Nice!

Here's my SWR Workingmans 8x10. In this photo it's powered by a Peavey T-Max, but when I'm feeling tubey, I throw my Peavey Classic 400 up there.

Very nice indeed!
