I just goofed around with it for the first time, recently - just at apartment volume, but even there it seemed promising. I'm unsure about the WA's wattage/headroom, but the Flex is 4 Ohms and pretty efficient - did a couple of loud gigs with it and a Kustom KXB 500 and the head was just coasting. Thinking that bodes well for Walkabout use.

So I've got a Strategy coming this friday and I'm seriously considering the Flex that for sale in the classifieds to pair it with. My current rig is a Thunderfunk 750 with a Berg AE410 and I want the Strategy rig to be a totally different flavor. Not ditching my old rig, I just want a second more old school option. You experts think thats a good pairing?

I think it would kick ass like you wouldn't believe. 465 Watts of tube power through that cab will be insane and, yes, different than your Berg.

Re. Old school, turn the "dark" mode on and play around with turning off the tweeter and with the phase switch. Depends on what flavor of old school you want.

Chiming in to help the Amps moderators.

No one is prevented from posting in specific threads. Commercial users have to follow the CUP. Moderators enforce the rules as set out by the forum administrators, not based on advertising money or personal relationships, despite what some people seem to think. Posts that do not follow the rules are deleted so if you think you see everything that we deal with, you might not be correct.

If anyone has an issue with the enforcement of TB rules, use the contact us button and stop posting here. That's also against the rules. Like the Amps mods, I'm trying to leave this open. Please get back to the cabs.

I was under the direct impression that Mike Arnopol was PROHIBITED from posting in this thread, although his account is not revoked/deactivated. Perhaps you can speak to that point directly, just for everyones clarification?

Not trying to further derail this thread, and I will gladly get back to posting about the cabs, but I want to see this question get directly addressed, since your post would indicate that a user is not "prevented from posting in specific threads".

Sure Jake. I'm not sure on that point and I've asked the forum administrators to post here if possible. If that were the case, I would think it would've been related to the CUP, but since I mostly deal with other forums I may have misspoke. Sorry, but the best course is probably to contact them or wait for someone to post here.

Also not trying to derail the thread, which I very much want to stay open, but simply noting that I was under the same impression as Jake. I too would appreciate clarification. Thanks for your efforts here and toward that end.
