I think I'm going to go with the GR cab. The weight and sound seem like they'll be pretty ideal for me.

Jerry McNutt was the main guy at Eminence for quite some time. Not sure if he’s the guy you were thinking of or not, or if he is even still there…
I enjoyed having my 18 as my living room cab for only a short while. I put in into service as our keyboard monitor in the sanctuary. Such an excellent little cab to replace the janky old Peavey we'd be using.
Speaking of light gear these days, some health concerns has me thinking about putting my Bodai 28 on the market in the near future. A difficult decision I've thought a lot about as this cab has been nothing but great. My MA109 was too. The Barefaced BB3 has really caught my eye as a do-all solution or possibly 2 of their One10 cabs. Tiny stack that moves a lot of air.
You and Kesslari are great players and I hope you both find the solutions to keep playing! I sold my MAS 28 to a fan of Mike's cabs. I am sure your Bodai would be welcomed by a buyer.
So I am still wondering how to open up a MAS cab if one needed to change out a speaker like Kesslari might. Does not look obvious?
Remove grill, remove speaker, replace speaker. Same as any other cab.
Maybe I'm missing something. Are you worried about the wiring from speaker to crossover to input jack? You shouldn't need to mess with that just to replace a speaker.
My B28 is now with wrp in a good home. Was a great journey with the MAS cabs… This is a fantastic club with great people. Wishing you all happy holidays and a prosperous 2024 
I totally understand the reluctance to rely on un-supported cabs for gigs. My Flex 110 and pair of Bodai tens don't get moved, are always high-passed, and don't really get pushed hard, so I'm expecting them to keep me sounding better than I have a right to for a long time...
Well I am sorry they did not make a long term financial success of their, innovative cabs. I am keeping my 3rd gen 66 and still have the original 48. To me the MVW phenomenon is real and tested at indoor, and outdoor gigs especially. I would just replace a blown speaker with whatever quality driver I could find. It's the design of the cab itself that makes the dispersion awesome to me.

Looking back, the Flex110 (with or without 110 sub) was one of my favorite cabs ever... It sounded especially great with the Sonic Farm and the Rad1000.

I really love my Flex210, but I wish he would have had the "separates" version of it at the time I picked it up. That Flex210 is a beast to move, but man, it does deliver! I do love my MAS-66 with the matching 1x10 sub perhaps even more. Well, I definitely love it more when moving it, but I think I like it slightly more, sonically, as well. Each has their own personality, and on certain styles, I prefer one over the other, but in general, the 66/110 is my fave. For quieter stuff, the MAS-45 Tower is my go-to cab, especially on upright.

My only gripe with the 110 top + sub (as opposed to the integrated 210 with tilt back wheels) was that with its wide dimensions and the handles on the sides, going through doorways was a serious knucklebuster.
I do have the vague memory of liking the sound of the integrated 210 slightly more for some reason. Just a bit more open overall. But mike was also making tweaks over time to the design and parts of the flex, and the flex mod I had was a year or two after the 210 I played on a couple gigs, so it likely was not an apples to apples thang.

I never had a Flex, but I have had (still have?) a 66, a 110 sub (sold), two Bodai 112s, a 4x5 (recent build, with Ciares, same drivers as Tom's tower but without the awesome tweeter), and a 16. I think I like the 66 (without the sub) the best, but that's going by memory.

I ran my Flex with the sub for a while. Powered by the Shaw B-150, it could bring a whole lot of nice lows. Sweet rig.

The weight is phenomenal, but you have to judge it relative to the performance, not the driver size. My 16s weigh 14 lbs, which might sounds like a lot for a single 6", but it hangs with a big band (and is a full range, two-way design). I don't know of any other 1x6" designs that can hang with a 20-piece big band.
Mayhap, but in a Hard Rock band, I need at least 410s, or 210/112. So only 2 34lb or 34 + 30lb cabs
